Such Is Life

Posted By Jacque on April 29, 2008

You all know I am totally swamped. I wrote a guest post on Heather’s blog today, if you are interested.

I am still tired from Matt putting in the floor and being up all night with him. Post and pics already started.. coming soon!

Caleb has a follow-up Dr. appt. today ~ Wednesday. He has had an upset tummy and been up at all hours – with me helping. of course.

We are almost ready to post the May issue of GGM. You are going to love the focus on mothers! And, I got to see the sneak peek of the header and new cover… very nice!

I have my science review 99% finished. I have my other article almost finished.  Still working on it! I still have to review The Sentinel. Very good book, I must say. Very good book!

We are all busy preparing and planning for Jocelyn’s 17th birthday. I know that Robyn, Breezy, and Emily are coming. We have some friends in Warsaw we hope can come, as well as another local homeschool family we hardly get to see. Paul and Gena and kids won’t be able to make it until Sunday, but we are looking forward to that!

We are also planning Amanda’s graduation. Nope, no ceremony, really. We are much too busy; she is still working and learning around here, you know! If she really wanted a ceremony, I’d plan it in a heartbeat! I think all she really wants to spend the money on is a laptop finally. She had been saving for months, and had to spend it on something else. So, we are looking into a Dell laptop.

Please look at these awesome carnivals! Putting these together is a whole lotta work!

Carnival of homeschooling: Visions of the future

Homestead Carnival, Quite the Variety!

Ok, off to bed.. I am exhausted! Have a pleasant night and day tomorrow! We will be selecting the winner of the new read over at HSB Literary Club! You could win! All you have to do is sign up to join us!

blessings~ J

Oh I am so excited the Suarez’s get to come up! :D

Yeah what is the point of a graduation… we don’t have anyone close enough to come. A laptop will be perfectly fine with me!

    Thanks for the comment! ;)
    Love ya Mama!

    Hi Momma-
It’s been a whirlwind of fun… but I have to agree… I was exhausted too! It has been fun having Sprittibee and her family over tho. Can’t wait to see them in Texas when we go!!!!

I can’t wait to see the Suarezs’ again… they are so fun! That was funny when I realized you weren’t talking about Sprittibee. Silly me! :)

I am so glad that nothing happened to GraniteHead. :o ) Gave me a fright, indeed he did.

Love you! :-* Kisses and Hugs!
    Love,
    Rachel

Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
and you are to love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your understanding, and with all your strength.'
{Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Mark 12:28-30}

Welcome

Hello friends and welcome! The coffee is fresh, the tea is hot, so pull up a comfy chair and sit with me for a bit.

Who am I? Nobody special; just a flawed wife and mom, daughter, sister, and friend chosen by YHVH to follow and tell about him.

Jacque Mrs. Jacque Dixon and her husband, Matt, train their nine children up in YHVH's narrow way, home schooling on their small homestead in Indiana. She is co-owner and Manager of Gleaning the Harvest, a mission founded by the Dixons, presenting widowed/single mother home school families to YHVH's people. She is also owner and publisher of Training Sons to Be Men, and Training Daughters, Teaching Wives. Walking Therein is where Jacque writes encouraging home school articles, articles of faith, and the daily lives of the Dixon family.
