Honors, Friends and Visits

Posted By Jacque on April 27, 2008

Amanda has received an honor this week. She has been nominated for the Apples of Gold Award. I bring encouraging words to a discouraging world. The AG Award is for women and young ladies who “bring encouraging words to a discouraging world.” She is very deserved of this award. It is given for “A word fitly spoken”, and she does choose her words well. I was nominated for the Proverbs 25:11 Award at Apples of Gold MinistriesI know sometimes we as bloggers do not come across clearly, but I know Amanda, and I know how compassionate and kind and thoughtful she is, and how she chooses her words and actions to prefer others and edify them. Well, unless she is joking with Jocelyn!! LOL

Amanda, I love you. You are a great example and encouragement!
Everyone who knows you is blessed to know you!

In other news, I can’t wait to meet the Queen Bee!! Sprittibee is expected here at Dixon homestead tomorrow! We have been buzzing around here in anticipation! Even the little boys keep asking when she will be here!

A month ago, when Jocelyn made up invites to a Celebration of her birthday (May 9th), she requested that the kitchen floor be, well, destroyed and revamped! I asked Matt to see if he could borrow the Green Machine from a friend, and he decided he would rather just replace the flooring. I don’t know if Jocelyn yet realizes that she got her wish on that! I hope to have pictures posted soon. :)

We are presently planning a trip out West for this summer. I will be posting a list of areas we hope to get to. If we know you and you are on our ‘route’, shoot me an email to let me know, and maybe we can meet up! Wouldn’t that be fun?

We are also all working on our Growing in Grace for Magazine for Girls articles. The new issue comes out on May 1st! Be looking for it! SisterLisa is working hard on all the new icons and graphics for May. Be in prayer for this wonderful ministry!

Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
and you are to love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your understanding, and with all your strength.'
{Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Mark 12:28-30}

Welcome

Hello friends and welcome! The coffee is fresh, the tea is hot, so pull up a comfy chair and sit with me for a bit.

Who am I? Nobody special; just a flawed wife and mom, daughter, sister, and friend chosen by YHVH to follow and tell about him.

Jacque Mrs. Jacque Dixon and her husband, Matt, train their nine children up in YHVH's narrow way, home schooling on their small homestead in Indiana. She is co-owner and Manager of Gleaning the Harvest, a mission founded by the Dixons, presenting widowed/single mother home school families to YHVH's people. She is also owner and publisher of Training Sons to Be Men, and Training Daughters, Teaching Wives. Walking Therein is where Jacque writes encouraging home school articles, articles of faith, and the daily lives of the Dixon family.
