Make the Best of the Waiting Period

Posted By Jacque on January 26, 2010

In our lives, we all have room to grow, and YHVH has plans we may not yet understand that really are for our good and his purposes. We can only walk and rest in the fact that he will complete all he has for us.
Waiting for his time can be hard, but if we walk in his plans, keeping busy doing as he shows us, we will find that time passes too quickly as it is….
and we will find ourselves wishing we had made the best of the waiting period, instead of wishing it away. Each moment truly brings time to honour and please him, and with each, he brings joy in some form (even in sorrows, there is joy that will be revealed).

These are the words I left in a comment on Amanda’s post today. As I re-read them, they spoke to my heart about our move. I cannot wait to sell our home and be through this phase. BUT YHVH has other plans. His are best.

This is exactly what I needed to hear today from YHVH, and it is only now taking its position in my spirit what I needed to hear. His timing is perfect. Jeremiah 29 has always been a favourite verse of mine.

Jeremiah 29
10 “For here is what ADONAI says: ‘After Bavel’s seventy years are over, I will remember you and fulfill my good promise to you by bringing you back to this place. 11 For I know what plans I have in mind for you,’ says ADONAI,’plans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future. 12 When you call to me and pray to me, I will listen to you. 13 When you seek me, you will find me, provided you seek for me wholeheartedly; 14 and I will let you find me,’ says ADONAI. ‘Then I will reverse your exile. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have driven you,’ says ADONAI, ‘and bring you back to the place from which I exiled you.’

Right now, it means so much more.

Most days, I feel as though I cannot get off the couch from holding Samuel to get done what I need. OH! The dichotomy of my loving holding and nursing him is when my brain keeps saying, “GET UP! GO DO SOMETHING! WE NEED TO GET THIS DONE!!”.

I have been praying that he will give us daily words and truly show us our next steps. This is such an encouragement in my life right now.

THANK YOU YHVH, for this!!

I hope it encourages you also in whatever you are walking in today in your life!

Shalom and blessings to you~

Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
and you are to love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your understanding, and with all your strength.' 6 These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart; 7 and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
{Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Mark 12:28-30}

Welcome

Welcome to my online home, Walking Therein. I am a 40-something wife and Momma, trying to walk therein, squeezing in moments of Scripture reading, praise and worship and just quiet between the breastfeeding, child training, cooking, cleaning, child training, laundry, home school, child training, online ministries, and spending individual moments with hubby, adult children, Middles, Littles, and the infant.
Tis the life the Father gave me, and I am blessed to walk in it.
Did I mention the child training?

"Who am I? Nobody special; just a flawed wife and mom, daughter, sister, and friend chosen by YHVH to follow and tell about him."

I am a Believer in the one true God and the Messiah, his Son, whose name is Yehoshua. We keep his commandments because that is what his people do.
"...God's people, those who observe his commands and exercise Yehoshua's faithfulness."
Revelation 12, 14, 22
