Covenantal Marriage: The Bride and the Groom
Posted By Jacque on October 24, 2009
This just struck me as I looked for an icon to put on my post today….
When Yehovah-God made a covenant with us to be our GOD and we agree to be his people, it is like a marriage covenant. He is our covenantal husband, and Yehoshua-Jesus is the bridegroom of the Church, coming back to receive us, his Bride… Is this what the bride should look like in the relationship with our GOD and our Messiah?
blessings,

Ahhhh….. yes. A loving encouragement.
And yet, it is not by our might or self-will, but by God’s grace & mercy…. no?
Thank you.

Isn’t it a blessing that God’s covenant with us does not depend on our behavior!? For while we were yet sinners He died for us. The groom paying the bride-price even while the bride rejected him.
