Holiness, Holiness is what I long for….
Holiness, is what I need….
1Peter 1
13 Therefore, get your minds ready for work, keep yourselves under control, and fix your hopes fully on the gift you will receive when Yeshua the Messiah is revealed. 14 As people who obey God, do not let yourselves be shaped by the evil desires you used to have when you were still ignorant. 15 On the contrary, following the Holy One who called you, become holy yourselves in your entire way of life; 16 since the Tanakh says, “You are to be holy because I am holy.”
Oh, holiness. The holiness of Yehovah-God. That unattainable, ever-striving for commandment and virtue that we all need more of. I do need it. I do long for it. Even Peter said to Jewish Believers, knowing that men are human and made of flesh, “Keep yourselves under control,” and “do not let yourselves be shaped by the evil desires you used to have when you were still ignorant.”

Our Lord – Adonai IS Holy. He deserves a HOLY PEOPLE, set apart and longing for holiness. If only I could keep that all day, every moment, at the forefront, in front of my own selfish desires and pitiful excuses, I might be able to be a small part of what Yehovah God created me to be and desires me to be.
“You are to be holy because I am holy.”
Father, forgive me. Help me, come to my rescue, my mind, my heart when I need to be HOLY and not selfish or proud, and remind me to keep my mouth shut when I need it!
“You are a HOLY GOD. The ONLY HOLY GOD. There is NONE other like you, and NONE other equal. Bless you and praise you. May YOU be in this day, and none of myself.”
