The Steadfast Love of the LORD

Lamentations 3
22It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 24The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
~KJV21 But in my mind I keep returning to something, something that gives me hope – 22 that the grace of ADONAI is not exhausted, that his compassion has not ended. 23 [On the contrary,] they are new every morning! How great your faithfulness! 24 “ADONAI is all I have,” I say; “therefore I will put my hope in him.
~The Complete Jewish Bible
The Steadfast Love of the LORD Never Ceases
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases
His mercies never come to an end,
They are new every morning
New every morningGreat is Your faithfulness, 0 Lord
Great is Your faithfulnessGreat is Your faithfulness, 0 Lord
Great is Your faithfulness
Just meditating on these words gives me great joy. His love is steady, strong and will never stop. I am in need of mercies all day long, every day, and his, unlike my own, will never end. When I am selfish and in a bad mood and my faithfulness is small and weak, his is great. In the light of this expression of who he is and how loving and giving he is, I am a very small and selfish person.
Even if I were the most humble, giving, loving person, I would still not compare to his mercies and never-ending love. That is the very reason I need salvation. I, by human nature, am in need of his salvation and re-creation of my soul. Daily I fail miserably, but he shows me his new mercies every morning. He stays when I choose to give up on others, even for the moment.
He is a great father and just. He is a merciful teacher, and I am blessed to be able to still be able to study his WORD and his law and to follow in the steps of the greatest teacher, the greatest Rabbi, Jesus – Yeshua.
My soul is overwhelmed with thankfulness, and I pray I can be who I wish to be and be that to all those around me. I pray I can be like my saviour and friend Jesus – Yeshua.
Psalm 103
1 By David: Bless ADONAI, my soul! Everything in me, bless his holy name! 2 Bless ADONAI, my soul, and forget none of his benefits! 3 He forgives all your offenses, he heals all your diseases, 4 he redeems your life from the pit, he surrounds you with grace and compassion, 5 he contents you with good as long as you live, so that your youth is renewed like an eagle’s.
6 ADONAI brings vindication and justice to all who are oppressed. 7 He made his ways known to Moshe, his mighty deeds to the people of Isra’el. 8 ADONAI is merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in grace. 9 He will not always accuse, he will not keep his anger forever. 10 He has not treated us as our sins deserve or paid us back for our offenses, 11 because his mercy toward those who fear him is as far above earth as heaven. 12 He has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west. 13 Just as a father has compassion on his children, ADONAI has compassion on those who fear him. 14 For he understands how we are made, he remembers that we are dust. 15 Yes, a human being’s days are like grass, he sprouts like a flower in the countryside – 16 but when the wind sweeps over, it’s gone; and its place knows it no more. 17 But the mercy of ADONAI on those who fear him is from eternity past to eternity future, and his righteousness extends to his children’s children, 18 provided they keep his covenant and remember to follow his precepts.
19 ADONAI has established his throne in heaven; his kingly power rules everything. 20 Bless ADONAI, you angels of his, you mighty warriors who obey his word, who carry out his orders! 21 Bless ADONAI, all his troops, who serve him and do what he wants! 22 Bless ADONAI, all his works, in every place where he rules! Bless ADONAI, my soul!
Bless ADONAI, my soul! Everything in me, bless his holy name on this Sabbath morning!

I just cannot say how much I love the Jewish Bible. It is so much easier to read even moreso than the KJV and it is way more personal! LOVE it.
Its neat to me to read the KJV and then read the Jewish, because the Jewish is more written as a letter to the reader than a book.
I am so thankful for the steadfast love of the Lord! What a blessed assurance that His love will never waver or change in this ever changing world! thank you Lord for your love!

Oh how I needed to read that excerpt, it hit close to home! I felt discouraged as a wife yesterday (posted about it last night) and this paragraph brought me hope. Thank you for sharing!

You write beautiful and you find wonderful verses! It’s so neat to see the Jewish version of the Bible. Great is his faithfulness indeed, and how it can replenish our souls when we’re down in the dumps and weary.

I just stumbled upon this website,as I was talking to a friend and we are talking about how great the Lord is and all of what we are going through and we know that the Lord is faithful and he hasn’t brought we this far to leave us. She was telling me how she went to church singing the Steadfast Love of the Lord. I remember growing up in the church with such songs, and I googled it. And I am just so certain of how God is going to bring me through the situation I am going through because his steadfast love never ceases, and his mercies are new every morning. I know my healing has already taken place because his mercies are new every morning and he loves me exceptionally. Thank you Lord for who you are. Thank you for healing me.
