Quick Snack Idea: Cottage Cheese

Posted By Jacque on March 27, 2009

We love cottage cheese. It is a favorite snack for all ages, and we love it on our green salads too. We have several toppings we like to put onto cottage cheese. Here are a few:

sunflower seeds

dried fruit: cranberries, raisins, apricots,

crushed pineapple

tuna

shredded cheese

You can also serve it with:

snack crackers

fishy crackers

animal crackers

pretzels

Because we do not give lettuce to our toddlers as a choking hazard, we sometimes make them a cottage cheese salad with the salad toppings and add a vinaigrette dressing to it. You will find more information on that in my article:  Fresh Green Salad and Toppings

Perfect! I just bought some cottage cheese the other day. We usually just put pepper in ours! That looks good though!

Clever ideas, I have at least one cup of cottage cheese every single day because it’s high in protein. But I am curious, how do you crush pineapple? Slam your fist on it?? I recently learned how to cut pineapple and now there’s a crushing procedure? I’m so lost :o )

  3. Why whey protein is considered one of the best protein foods for humans. The nutritional characteristics of whey protein are outstanding, but you need to be selective when choosing a whey powder.Try to visit http://www.squidoo.com/best-whey-protein-shakes if anybody want more info.

Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
and you are to love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your understanding, and with all your strength.' 6 These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart; 7 and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
{Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Mark 12:28-30}

Welcome

Welcome to my online home, Walking Therein. I am a 40-something wife and Momma, trying to walk therein, squeezing in moments of Scripture reading, praise and worship and just quiet between the breastfeeding, child training, cooking, cleaning, child training, laundry, home school, child training, online ministries, and spending individual moments with hubby, adult children, Middles, Littles, and the infant.
Tis the life the Father gave me, and I am blessed to walk in it.
Did I mention the child training?

"Who am I? Nobody special; just a flawed wife and mom, daughter, sister, and friend chosen by YHVH to follow and tell about him."

I am a Believer in the one true God and the Messiah, his Son, whose name is Yehoshua. We keep his commandments because that is what his people do.
"...God's people, those who observe his commands and exercise Yehoshua's faithfulness."
Revelation 12, 14, 22
