To Everything There Is A Season

Posted By Jacque on March 21, 2009

I looked at Caleb the other day to see that he has now become 3 and a half. And I thought, “Where did the time go?”.

Spring has come again. It seems like only yesterday we were looking at a long winter, and now it is passed and spring greens are breaking through last years’ leftover Fall leaves. We have yet to see the yellow of the Daffodils and Narcissus or the pink of the Hyacinths, but the blooms are surely soon to come.

I am the same inside as I have always been: hopes, dreams, love, hate; but time moves faster than ever before. My children grow faster than ever before. And the LORD has written it all in his WORD as it will be – as it has always been.
PhotobucketEcclesiastes 3

1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
9What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
10I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
13And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

Saturday Psalm & Praise

There is a time to every purpose under the heaven. We can think on that, hold it in our hearts and remind ourselves of it in times of troubles. God holds time in his hands. We can place our trust in him.

Shabbat Shalom!

I love the photos of the hyacinths you took too. Glad you salvaged some of them. I hope we get back all the other photos from the external drive too!

Time definitely seems to be going by faster. It feels like the end of January and it’s already mid-March! I keep gazing at my children and wondering where the babies went! How true that life is full of seasons, but God is constant and never changing.

This is a wonderful Saturday Psalm and Praise, Mother dear. It is such a comfort to know that there is a time and season for everything under heaven, and that God is in control of it all, no matter what happens, He is in control.

I can’t believe it is almost spring again… ugh… the garden stuff. That WILL be done tomorrow. I meant to do it today, but then we cleaned and then we went for a walk, but not tomorrow. It SHALL be done tomorrow. I will be up early doing that, so it will get done. :)

    Loving my wonderful Momma Dear,

Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
and you are to love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your understanding, and with all your strength.'

Welcome

Hello friends and welcome! The coffee is fresh, the tea is hot, so pull up a comfy chair and sit with me for a bit.

Who am I? Nobody special; just a flawed wife and mom, daughter, sister, and friend chosen by YHVH to follow and tell about him.

Jacque Mrs. Jacque Dixon and her husband, Matt, train their nine children up in YHVH's narrow way, home schooling on their small homestead in Indiana. She is co-owner and Manager of Gleaning the Harvest, a mission founded by the Dixons, presenting widowed/single mother home school families to YHVH's people. She is also owner and publisher of Training Sons to Be Men, and Training Daughters, Teaching Wives. Walking Therein is where Jacque writes encouraging home school articles, articles of faith, and the daily lives of the Dixon family.
