My Main Man Tag
Posted By Jacque on November 29, 2008
Marshiemellow has presented us with a great tag/meme to do about our dear hubbies. Are you game?? If I don’t tag you, you can still play along. Leave me a comment with the link if you do it.
1. He’s sitting in front of the TV, what is on the screen?
well, for the past few months, when he is home, he tries his best to not to sit in front of the TV spending his time watching his favorite team (who he is watching right now): Dallas Cowboys/NFL. But, after all, it *is* Thanksgiving!
2. You’re out to eat; what kind of dressing does he get on his salad?
None. Really, no salad dressing. Is that weird or what?
3. What’s one food he doesn’t like?
There are so many. broccoli
4. You go out to the bar. What does he order?
Pepsi. The only time he would go to the bar is to watch a football game, and Pepsi is what he orders out.
5. Where did he go to high school?
Las Cruces HS in Las Cruces, NM
6. What size shoe does he wear?
9
7. If he was to collect anything, what would it be?
Pepsi collectibles. He used to work there, and we have quite a bit. Other than that, maybe Dallas Cowboys clothing.
8. What is his favorite type of sandwich?
Turkey with lettuce
9. What would he eat every day if he could?
Nellie’s (in Las Cruces)
10. What is his favorite cereal?
Lucky Charms, Raisin Bran
11. What would he never wear?
I know there is something specific he has refused to wear, and I can’t think of it… but we came up with these: a bow tie, a safari hat
12. What is his favorite sports team?
Dallas Cowboys, of course
13. Who did he vote for?
*** ****
14. Who is his best friend?
… I’m his secret best friend. (He doesn’t think he has one)
15. What is something you do that he wishes you wouldn’t do?
go to bed so late (working on that!)
16. How many states has he lived in?
2. NM and IN
17. What is his heritage?
Comanche Indian,
Louisiana French~Cajun,
18. You bake him a cake for his birthday; what would it be?
German Chocolate
19. Did he play sports in high school?
he played bball in jr. high and fball one year in 9th grade. He is not very big!

20. What could he spend hours doing?
playing sports, watching sports. Lately he has been spending a lot of time reading the Jack Chick comic books. He has had some since I met him 20 years ago, and he has been reading the Scriptures surrounding them lately. Other than the Bible, sports.
21. What’s something cool about him?
He loves to play with his children. He was so excited when Eric was old enough to throw the football. He takes them on bike rides in the summer when he can and plays chess, even though Eric is relentless on asking him. He even plays with Hannah, who is still learning. He is a great Dad.
He knows a lot about Revelation. He knows a lot about the Bible, actually. He has read it through several times.
He owned 2 motorcycles when we met. That was cool. It still would be if he owned even one right now. He is the hardest working man I know.
There have been times things have gone wrong on his jobs he has complained about, but he has never complained about having to go to work. That is admirable today, when so many men try to get out of working. He has always worked, and most of our marriage he has worked long hours or had two jobs. Or both.
One really super cool thing is that he pays for high speed and gives us all time to be on our computers, blogs, publishing GGM, etc. He has it down now that we publish on the 1st and knows we will be on for a few days ’til we get it done. I know he doesn’t have to do that, and I appreciate it.
Well, that was fun. Basically, Matt is a pretty laid-back guy who works a lot and loves his family and God. AND, we will be having our 20th anniversary in two weeks. Two weeks. Boy, does that sneak up on you!
Colossians 3:16
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
I shall tag my sweet Sister, Jennifer, SisterLisa, Christina, Trisch, Dianne, and Trish. And the rest of you all who read this.
If you did it because someone else tagged you, leave me the link too.
blessings!

I have read several off these tags/memes and they are so much fun to read! Each one that I read is of course unique, but I have also noticed that on each one the lady says something like “He is the hardest working man I know.”. I thought that was cool….. But anyway, congrats on your 20th anniversary!

I saw this on Marsha’s blog too and just had to do it. Enjoyed reading your answers. My daughter doesn’t eat salad dressing either. It is kind of strange but at least you know your hubby is not the only one!

And Lisa does SUCH a beautiful job with all the new graphics each month! I was surprised by the special header she chose this month with me in mind. God has blessed me with such good friends, including my husband Matt! [...]
Jacque, it sounds like you’ve got a good man there! Especially since he’s a Cowboys fan.
Love,
Becca from DALLAS!
And I can totally relate to the “secret best friend” thing! That was a great answer.
