The Price of Children
Posted By Jacque on May 26, 2008
From the BERLIN, Germany Associated press–
Saturday, authorities in southern Germany took custody of a 7-month-old boy after his parents posted an ad on eBay offering to sell him for one euro, which is the equivalent of $1.57.
The child’s mother, 23, insisted that the ad was only a joke. Authorities launched an investigation into possible child trafficking against the baby’s mother and the father, 24.
Here is how the EBay seller’s page read:
“Offering my nearly new baby for sale, as it has gotten too loud. It is a male baby, nearly 28 inches (70 cm) long and can be used either in a baby carrier or a stroller.”
Apparently offers were made for the child in the two hours and 30 minutes the ad was posted on Tuesday. EBay deleted the posting, but they did help the police track down the parents.
I am not at all surprised about this. Are you? The price of a blessing these days is now up to $1.57. Unless you want to adopt one, then you pay a lot of money. Or you work for Social Services and you remove an infant from a home (good or bad) and have them adopted out. Then, the price soars to an $8000 bonus, paid to the office.
SisterLisa posted the other day about a 20yo mother who had placed her baby in a garbage dumpster and was in court now, 3 years later. Apparently, in the USA, if you hold out against the courts, that justifies your crime, because the courts will, “in the interest of both parties,”
I mean, after all, the murdering momma,”Holly, wants to close this chapter, finish school and move on with her life,” said Ashcraft’s attorney, Mark Geragos. “It was in the interest of both parties to resolve this in a fair way.”
Fair to whom? I mean, wasn’t that her goal in the first place? Get the baby out of her life so she can “move on with her life”? Hold out long enough, and you can get away with murder. What a horrible social lesson for our citizens.
Read about it: Trash Bin For An Infant Cradle?.
3Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
Let’s get it straight folks. Have you ever heard of Demographic Winter?
blessings!

[...] am really tired of hearing that the courts conclude this and that, turning a blind eye to crimes committed against children. It is despicable. And, if I were a parent of one of the 13 or 14 other students who voted him out, [...]
