Saturday Psalm & Praise: Thank You

Posted By Jacque on November 1, 2008

I am thanking my God today for creating me in his image and blessing me as His own. For keeping me through trials and calling me back to Him and teaching me when I sin. I am so grateful for His voice and leading when I am distressed or walking in my own judgments and selfishness.

Saturday Psalm & PraiseJust as when Israel, His people were in sin and seeking others, God will call us back to Him. Even when we turn from Him and turn to others and still expect His Blessings, He will save us in our ignorance and selfishness. Israel turned to the grave sin of idol worship and even an “Evolution mindset”, saying animals were “their fathers” and worshipping stones as their creators.

God has every right to be angry with us. We worship other things in our lives; we call on our own means and worldly means to save us (like friends, credit cards or loans, jobs, etc.), and then, when it gets to where we know none of that will save us, *then* we turn to God and cry out. Oh, how weary of it all He must be.

But, He is not willing that any should perish, and He loves His People.

Jeremiah 2

26As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets. 27Saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us. 28But where are thy gods that thou hast made thee? let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah. 29Wherefore will ye plead with me? ye all have transgressed against me, saith the LORD.

Praise the LORD and blessed be His name for saving us and gathering us rom among the heathens, to give thanks to thy holy name!!

Psalm 106: 46-48

46He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives. 47Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise. 48Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.

blessings!

Yes, the weather is too gorgeous to stay inside doing “school”! When we’re asked if we take snow days, we say, “No, we take fall and spring days!” : )

    Blessings!

Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
and you are to love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your understanding, and with all your strength.'

Welcome

Hello friends and welcome! The coffee is fresh, the tea is hot, so pull up a comfy chair and sit with me for a bit.

Who am I? Nobody special; just a flawed wife and mom, daughter, sister, and friend chosen by YHVH to follow and tell about him.

Jacque Mrs. Jacque Dixon and her husband, Matt, train their nine children up in YHVH's narrow way, home schooling on their small homestead in Indiana. She is co-owner and Manager of Gleaning the Harvest, a mission founded by the Dixons, presenting widowed/single mother home school families to YHVH's people. She is also owner and publisher of Training Sons to Be Men, and Training Daughters, Teaching Wives.
