Photos and Articles

Posted By Jacque on May 21, 2008

I have so-o-o-ooo many photos to develop and get into albums. Today I sent in my Show and Tell article to The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, and when I went to look for accompanying photos, I discovered that many of them were missing. Missing. :( We bought an external 500gig hard drive a month or so ago to transfer the photos so we could better use the desktop. I knew Jocelyn had transferred and checked to make sure they were all there, and all I could think of was that I had deleted some that were hidden in another file. That thing is very confusing to find files in. It’s like a maze.

So, I was quite unhappy about that, but there was nothing we could do but look and hope. Nope. They were not there. I went to the MSN Spaces account we used to use, and there were some photos on those albums, so I was happy about that. We did still have the 2007 and 2008 folders, but the rest were gone. And, can you believe that I have no picture of all of our children together since Loolie was born? sigh.

I know how difficult and how many different things need to be done to put together a magazine since we started publishing Growing in Grace each month with Sisterlisa, and I know TOS is bigger, but, man, that was a lot of work! Maybe it was just me, and I was just flustered at not being able to find pictures, who knows? I am almost done. I still need to send in my signature, and I hope I sent the pictures in properly!

As I was looking through the 2007 photos, I noticed the September folder was also gone. Ugh and grr. I asked Jocelyn, and she thought she had pulled that off and put it on a mini-flash drive, so I checked the extra one we had. Lo and behold, there were all the missing files!! YAY!! I breathed a deep sigh of relief as I saw 1993…. 1998 ….. and on. So, we found them, I didn’t totally lose it, and I have most of what they need in for my article! Now to correct the review I botched and finish up the June GGM articles I am assigned.

My sister, Jen, asked the other night about some photos we took when she and mom were here, and we found a really cute one of Mom, Dave, Jen and me. I think what I like the most is what Jen said about it after she saw it. She said, “I love this photo, because it is just so us.” She is so right! It is a tad blurry, but it is an awesome picture, because it *is* so *us*!

I love that picture! :) I hope it’s ok with Mom and Dave that I posted it…. :)

Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
and you are to love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your understanding, and with all your strength.' 6 These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart; 7 and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
{Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Mark 12:28-30}

Welcome

Welcome to my online home, Walking Therein. I am a 40-something wife and Momma, trying to walk therein, squeezing in moments of Scripture reading, praise and worship and just quiet between the breastfeeding, child training, cooking, cleaning, child training, laundry, home school, child training, online ministries, and spending individual moments with hubby, adult children, Middles, Littles, and the infant.
Tis the life the Father gave me, and I am blessed to walk in it.
Did I mention the child training?

"Who am I? Nobody special; just a flawed wife and mom, daughter, sister, and friend chosen by YHVH to follow and tell about him."

I am a Believer in the one true God and the Messiah, his Son, whose name is Yehoshua. We keep his commandments because that is what his people do.
"...God's people, those who observe his commands and exercise Yehoshua's faithfulness."
Revelation 12, 14, 22
