Simple Woman’s Daybook: Day 15
Posted By Jacque on November 14, 2008
FOR TODAY November 13th
Outside My Window… it is dreary, cold and gray, except for the golden brown leaves cluttering the yard. The wind is gently blowing the golden leaves dangling yet, ready to fall from the Maples.
I am thinking… I am so blessed. God has got my back, and I owe Him my very life.
I am praying for… friends who are in pain right now, and the integrity to live up to what God and Jesus do for me and our family.
I am thankful for… my family: a dear, sweet hard-working husband and precious children I am thankful to know and be friends with too; my sister and my mother, whose relationships I cherish so much.
From the learning rooms… to each his own. Writing, blogging, web design, reading, arithmetic. Basically the 3 Rs and blogging.
From the kitchen… nothing at the moment. If we have some apples, I am hoping Rachel will make some more apple crisp!
I am wearing… long sleeved tan jersey, comfy jean skirt and socks, because my toes are froze!
I am creating… a new me everyday; A lovely marriage as I continue to let the LORD work in my heart; a larger home as we finish the add on of another 1500sqft.
I am going… to bed!
I am reading… Joshua chapter 1+, Enoch Roden’s Training, a new set of curriculum I WON (yes, I WON it!) from Lorrie Flem’s TEACH Magazine blog: Analytical Grammar: Teacher Book, Student Workbook, and Review Worksheets/Answer Keys! YAY!
I am hoping… the best for my friends
I am hearing… a gunshot on a movie about a grizzly and a family surviving a winter in 1898 Alaska
Around the house… It is quite early, and only the boys are up. They are watching the family survive in the wilderness
One of my favorite things… spiced cider and a warm blanket to share in front of the crackling fire
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: write me Sentinel review up, post my Kumon reviews, write up 3 discussions for Enoch Roden’s Training, look over and see how to use this Analytical Grammar, pray, pray, pray for God’s intervention and will to be done that the truth may triumph for His Glory
Here is the picture thought I am sharing…
I will leave you with a Scripture Verse for the week:
Galatians 6
2Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5For every man shall bear his own burden.
6Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. 7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Spiced cider, blankets and fireplaces…some of my favorite things too! I made some cider for the family a few days ago, and we snuggled, read and played…what a lovely atmosphere something so simple creates!

Jacque,
I didn’t know about Kent Hovind being put in prison. I’m shocked! I can’t believe it! I know God is helping him, but it’s just terrible to think that something like that could happen here. Thank you for keeping us informed about such things so we can pray about them. My kids are in the living room praying for him as I type this. I gave you an award on my new blog at HSB. I know you’re too busy for such things, but if you would like to see it, come over to penneyfromheaven.
Love,
Penney

I know; it is pretty crazy. I think when you buck the system, you have to know that the powers that be will, well, I guess “be”. Fortunately for Believers, God is THE POWER THAT IS! I believe that they will never shut him up, and that he is doing the LORD’s work where he is!!
What an awesome opportunity for us to teach our children to pray for fellow Believers in such positions!
