Saturday Psalm & Praise: Come Bless The Lord

Posted By Jacque on September 27, 2008

Come bless the Lord
All ye servants of the Lord
Who stand by night in the house of the Lord
Lift up your hands in the holy place
Come bless the Lord
Come bless the Lord

I have been so tired lately. Tired. Tired. Tired. But, even when we are completely exhausted, spent or overcome, we can and must praise the LORD. It is what refreshes and recharges us as we give up all the cares and give Him proper place in our lives.

Psalm 111

1Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

2The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.

3His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

4He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

5He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

6He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.

7The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.

8They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

9He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

I hope you have a peace-filled and wonderful weekend. Even if life is not what you expect right now. Rest in the knowledge that God did expect this time and is there to walk in it with you. He is so awesome a God!

Thank you again for starting this, Jacque! It helps me “journal” like I used to with pen and paper! ;) I still do some, but it’s definitely easier to type it in for some reason! (And probably more readable!)

It speaks to me from your heart, what you’re going through, how the Lord is speaking to you. I pray mine does the same for others!

    Blessings to you, dear friend!

Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
and you are to love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your understanding, and with all your strength.' 6 These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart; 7 and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
{Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Mark 12:28-30}

Welcome

Welcome to my online home, Walking Therein. I am a 40-something wife and Momma, trying to walk therein, squeezing in moments of Scripture reading, praise and worship and just quiet between the breastfeeding, child training, cooking, cleaning, child training, laundry, home school, child training, online ministries, and spending individual moments with hubby, adult children, Middles, Littles, and the infant.
Tis the life the Father gave me, and I am blessed to walk in it.
Did I mention the child training?

"Who am I? Nobody special; just a flawed wife and mom, daughter, sister, and friend chosen by YHVH to follow and tell about him."

I am a Believer in the one true God and the Messiah, his Son, whose name is Yehoshua. We keep his commandments because that is what his people do.
"...God's people, those who observe his commands and exercise Yehoshua's faithfulness."
Revelation 12, 14, 22
