Simple Woman’s Daybook: Day 9

The Simple Woman’s Daybook Meme

FOR TODAY September 17th (yes, Wednesday)…

Outside My Window… goats out in pens with their babies jumping around. A nice day, cool…

I am thinking… I have way too many emails to wade through today, but I just love reading the ones from the goat ring. Sometimes they are hysterical! You have to be a goat owner to appreciate them though! Especially the “you know you’re a redneck when…” and it includes having a goat in your home!!! LOL!

I am thankful for…children who can “hold down the fort” when Mom is tired! A husband who works hard at two jobs so I *can* stay home and a God who is teaching me still…

From the learning rooms… still: Cowboys by In the Hands of A Child. Math review lessons to plan for 3 age groups. Lapbooking project pages to copy off and cut up!

From the kitchen…scrambled eggs prepared by my eight year old daughter, bacon and an over-egg on toast.

I am wearing…HSB Tshirt and my jean skirt. Barefoot – what did you expect?

I am creating… a new organization and plans for our home. Life was simpler when I had a detailed schedule, as much as I hate HATE to follow one!

I am going…to bed soon… it is now 1 am!

I am readingThree chapters a day in my Bible with Rachel in her new meme… FaceBook comments by Sprittibee: “Spritti is watching pigs fly. I said I would never get a FB.”

I am hoping…to get to bed soon… very soon…

I am hearing…my girls laugh as they watch Little House on the Prairie reruns on YouTube! I remember watching it even when I was in college…

Around the house…Since it is so late, most everyone is asleep. Jocelyn is publishing the Homeschool Memoirs meme on The Homeschool Post while watching LHOTP with Amanda. I am sure Amanda is holding Caleb, who just woke up, and LucyLillie. Rachel just went off to bed a bit ago.

One of my favorite things…Oh man, does that remind me of The Sound of Music, which we have had in the DVD player a lot recently. I am so glad my children like movies like that one and Fiddler on the Roof instead of what else they could like!

One of my least favorite things… staying up late and getting up after the morning is gone!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: putting my plans into action… sending out GGM schedule of articles and reading the HSB Lit Club book and posting on that blog!

Here is the picture thought I am sharing

I am so blessed with great children, great friends and beautiful memories! I received some really special deliveries for my birthday, and I couldn’t post just one picture – sorry! You can click on the photos to read more about them.

The Littles and I enjoying the gift my friend Page sent me for my 40th birthday.

Lucy couldn’t resist smelling the Roses!

My dear friend Christina also sent me a beautiful bouquet of daisies! I was going to take more pictures, but as you can see on LucyLillie’s face in the background, ice cream sandwiches did us in!

Please put your post link on my Mr. Linky so I can enjoy your Simple Woman’s Dayplanner too!!

blessings!

fun fun! Little House is so hysterical because some of it is soo cheesy! :P lol! Thanks for letting me watch my new “addiction”.

I hope we can start getting up in the morning, because my days are running together and where is life going? :S

Snap! I need to finish writing out my HSBLC discussion and start on my articles for GGM. Thanks for the reminder! :)

So glad you had a wonderful birthday. I was really hoping you would! Those were some wonderful surprises from Christina and Page. How fun!

great daybook. It is so great reading yours, even though we are never far apart and live in the same day!
    Love you Mama!

Well, I can’t figure the Mr. Linky thing out this time (sleep deprivation *might* have something to do with it!) but I’ll post the link to this week’s Daybook here:

My kiddos seem to be breaking out one day after each other! Doesn’t fit the “book” for how they say it will happen! And why should it surprise me we can’t even catch the chicken pox normally? :)

Hope you had a nice birthday! And thank you for the links to goat info and help! I need it a lot of times, and now is no exception–have two who probably have CLA and not sure what to do (how much do you spend in vet bills?!)

You’d asked about time alone–what’s that?! LOL! We put a jacuzzi in our newly added master bath, and we lock BOTH our room and the bath doors! Dh will sometimes take his cellphone and only tell the oldest, so if there is a true crisis we’d know! :) Sometimes I run errands with him. Sometimes he comes to find me on my evening walk and we have a few moments alone!

And we have threatened to lock them all outside! (in good weather, of course!)

Oooh! And HATE that “s” word, too! In fact, I don’t seem to be able to do that, since life always happens and messes up my well-laid plans! I still hope to at least get on a loose routine someday…..

    Have a wonderful day!

Yeah!! I’m not the only one who posted on Wednesday. ;-) Technically, it is the Simple Daybook and there is nothing about having to post on Monday.

I love hearing goat stories, even though we have none of our own. Happy Birthday to you! Lovely bouquets! Thank you for sharing them -

I’m trying to do better about going to bed earlier…It’s not working! I have been getting up early though to take my friends kids to “SCHOOL” ugh but anyhoo….I am praying God helps me make this a much needed pattern for the rest of the week and continue on.
    I miss you like crazy!

Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
and you are to love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your understanding, and with all your strength.' 6 These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart; 7 and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Welcome

Welcome to my online home, Walking Therein. I am a 40-something wife and Momma, trying to walk therein, squeezing in moments of Scripture reading, praise and worship and just quiet between the breastfeeding, child training, cooking, cleaning, child training, laundry, home school, child training, online ministries, and spending individual moments with hubby, adult children, Middles, Littles, and the infant.
Tis the life the Father gave me, and I am blessed to walk in it.
Did I mention the child training?

"Who am I? Nobody special; just a flawed wife and mom, daughter, sister, and friend chosen by YHVH to follow and tell about him."

I am a Believer in the one true God and the Messiah, his Son, whose name is Yehoshua. We keep his commandments because that is what his people do.
"...God's people, those who observe his commands and exercise Yehoshua's faithfulness."
Revelation 12, 14, 22
