Simple Woman’s Daybook: Day 11

Jacque | September 30, 2008

FOR TODAY September 29th

Outside My Window this morning… sunshine, goat kids jumping, Caleb in cowboy boots, Isaac running around playing…
I am thinking… I have very little time to clean out the garage by the road and the finished garage to store Mom’s things and have a place for her to stay. I am glad I [...]

Literary Club: Enoch Roden’s Training

Jacque | September 28, 2008

I am ashamed to admit that Amanda is single-handedly handling the HSB Lit Club so far for this book. I have started reading it and have gotten a list of vocab words for the first chapter as well as character outlines, but I do not have my discussion up yet.
I really appreciate you leading the [...]

More on FIREPROOF: the Movie

Jacque | September 28, 2008

[WARNING spoilers]
I wish I had a transcript so I could remember all of a few particular scenes that I really liked in FIREPROOF the Movie. I have been remembering different scenes all day. There is one point at which Caleb’s dad (Kirk Cameron is Caleb) asks what makes him feel dishonoured by his wife. As [...]

Saturday Psalm & Praise: Come Bless The Lord

Jacque | September 27, 2008

Come bless the Lord
All ye servants of the Lord
Who stand by night in the house of the Lord
Lift up your hands in the holy place
Come bless the Lord
Come bless the Lord
I have been so tired lately. Tired. Tired. Tired. But, even when we are completely exhausted, spent or overcome, we can and must praise the [...]

Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
and you are to love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your understanding, and with all your strength.' 6 These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart; 7 and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
{Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Mark 12:28-30}

Welcome

Welcome to my online home, Walking Therein. I am a 40-something wife and Momma, trying to walk therein, squeezing in moments of Scripture reading, praise and worship and just quiet between the breastfeeding, child training, cooking, cleaning, child training, laundry, home school, child training, online ministries, and spending individual moments with hubby, adult children, Middles, Littles, and the infant.
Tis the life the Father gave me, and I am blessed to walk in it.
Did I mention the child training?

"Who am I? Nobody special; just a flawed wife and mom, daughter, sister, and friend chosen by YHVH to follow and tell about him."

I am a Believer in the one true God and the Messiah, his Son, whose name is Yehoshua. We keep his commandments because that is what his people do.
"...God's people, those who observe his commands and exercise Yehoshua's faithfulness."
Revelation 12, 14, 22

Jacque Mrs. Jacque Dixon and her husband, Matt are busy preparing and training their nine children up in YHVH's narrow way. We are currently living and home schooling in Costa Rica, sharing our love of Torah online. Walking Therein is where Jacque writes encouraging articles of faith, home schooling and the daily adventures of the Dixon family, with a mix of news and reviews also thrown in from time to time.
