“It is YHVH who girds me with strength; he makes my way go straight. He makes me swift, sure-footed as a deer, and enables me to stand on my high places. He trains my hands for war until my arms can bend a bow of bronze; “You give me your shield, which is salvation, your right hand holds me up, your humility makes me great.”
Psalms 18:32-35

Let us thank and place our faith in the one who makes our ways straight and enables us to stand in the high places. Time will not always be easy. Times WILL be tough. They will soon be getting a lot tougher. But, as I was discussing with a good friend last evening, we were born for these times and so were our children. We must stand up in the Father and his words, led by the Father’s Spirit and walk in these days. We must place all of our hopes and dreams and trials and shortcomings at his feet and allow him to be our all.

He is, right now, if we will let him, training our hands for war and gives us his shield of salvation as his right hand holds us up. Let us come before him, humbled. Let us strip our own hopes and dreams, our failed dreams, our plans and come to him with no expectations and no offenses, humbly before him following his commandments, walking in what he has for us.

Let us be his people.

Shalom~

I have had so much fun tonight! God knows what we need when we need it, and I am thankful to be his. We got some news this week that our hard drive with 3 years’ worth of photos is damaged to the point we cannot get our photos off of them.

So, from the time Caleb was a baby to now( and LucyLillie too))… gone. Except for what we have on Photobucket, our blogs and computers (which is not many, because most were transferred to the external hard drive.) What happened? I believe our sweet little angel, Caleb, dropped it.

Anyway, because of this, I went to an old MSN Spaces account where I had first started blogging to find old photos I had uploaded, and, it was even before I was on HSB, if you can believe that. I actually forgot that I really had blogged before then. It was weird to see my first post was June 2005. So, I have transferred up to February 2006 to here, and found some sweet photos. Yay! There are several photos there, and I was so glad. I don’t even want to remember all the ones that are lost…

But, all is not lost. When I think of God and I think of the photos, I know they will one day all be burnt up anyway, and they will shadow in comparison to the souls we are taking with us to heaven. I love to scrapbook, and I love to take photos, but the dear ones in those photos are my priority.

There was much discussion on FaceBook this past week after I posted the link to Is the List of Rules in the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child Already binding to US Law?? Ogden Nomination. There was also much fear.

Psalm 140
1Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; 2Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. 3They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison is under their lips. Selah.

4Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings. 5The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.

6I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD. 7O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle. 8Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.

9As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them. 10Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again. 11Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

12I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor. 13Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

When I look around and read all that is going on and read what some people would like to do to Bible-believing parents who are home educating their children to love the LORD, life and others, it is shocking. To think that there are still people in America, who, like Hitler, want to persecute, jail and murder people for their faith is just something we need to realize. After all, our brothers and sisters in other lands are being persecuted for their faith daily. But we must not fear.

As I was searching through ancient blog posts, I found this. It is full of praise and love and hope. I think we need this encouragement, and I pray you will thank the LORD for Victory in his name!

Alpha and Omega

I moved my BibleGateway Scripture widget up on my sidebar, and it has blessed me.

“Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.” (Philippians 2:14-16)

May the LORD keep us in His tender mercies and care as we walk in the path He has chosen for us. May we be found faithful, and may we stand for His truth and not our own or that of the world’s.
May you be blessed today, my friend. Keep training your children for the LORD. Don’t let anyone tell you any different. You stand on His WORD and teach it to your children. Do not hold back. Do not go in another direction. Do not stand still. Go forward for Him in your home school and teach your children His WORDS.

Expect them to learn it; keep them in Him. Teach them the value and preciousness of the Holy Bible and do not let down. Expect them to learn with you in your home. Do not expect or leave it up to someone else to teach them Scripture. You do it. Show them how important it is in your own life.

Teach them from a young age how to keep your home with you and to love it. Smile and include them in everything about the home. Give them a good view of work and a love for learning all new things, especially through hard, diligent work. Teach them to stick to a task until the end and not quit or give up.

Walk with them and talk with them as they grow older about God and His first place in their lives. Never give up and never give in. When other people and other things come in to take the time away from Him and from your family, guard it like your life depends on it, because it does.

Teach them to be modest, to be pure, and to always prove it out in God’s Holy WORD. Teach them to not listen to people, but rather, to listen to the Spirit and know the heart and character of God. Teach them to stand up for what is true and just. Teach them to lean on God and not to just go with the crowd.

Do not teach them to fear, but that the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. Train them up in the wisdom of the LORD so that they can recognize sin and run from it. Teach them to not be afraid to stand, but to not be afraid to run, and the difference between the two.

Pray for them. Pray for them when they wake up and when they go to sleep. Watch them, hear them, and know their weaknesses and pray for them to have strength. Teach them to pray aloud when they have fears and pray aloud for them when they need healing. Show them the Holy Spirit and the power of prayer and lead them as they follow the LORD.

Pray for their future spouses and their parents. Pray for their marriages and peace in their homes and for their children, your grandchildren. Pray for your own children’s parents to be good parents and to train them up in the LORD and the bent the LORD has given them.

Love their Daddy. Pray for him as he works in this world. Pray that he will seek the LORD and be their biggest cheerleader and best discipler. Lead by example love and respect for him. Pray that he will be used of God to keep their hearts to Him.

Speak blessings upon your children and not cursings. Guard your mouth and their hearts. Watch and keep them close when they are little. And when they grow up, watch and keep them close as you let them grow up.

As I said before, may we be found faithful. There are many out there who would like to steal our joy, our hearts and our very lives. The deceivers are everywhere, and we must know how to test them and be discerning. We must teach our children. We must take every opportunity NOW.

blessings,

I have so been enjoying listening to the song from my last Saturday Psalm & Praise:Saturday Psalm & Praise: My Refuge and My Portion. I used the song His Eye Is On The Sparrow. It has fed my soul and cause me to cry out to Him ALL week!!

This week, I feel our family has had to stand on the WORD in our beliefs more than we have in a long time! It has been such a week of learning and drawing closer to the LORD and His statutes. I can see a line being drawn in so many things in the world lately. The signs of the times are there for anyone who looks, asks and discerns. God is still on the Throne, but He is readying us for another to be on the earthly throne. He will by no means be over us, but the time is near, and we will see it coming soon.

It is at this time in history when we need to know the LORD more than any other. I know the Saints have been saying this since before Jesus even ascended to heaven, but it seems to me that bad goes to worse a lot quicker now than it has throughout my entire life. As though there is a quickening in the times. I have a feeling it is going to get worse. But our hope is not in the circumstances, but rather, in the LORD, so we do not need to fear!

Psalm 48

1Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. 2Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. 3God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

4For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together. 5They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away. 6Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

7Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

8As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.

9We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple. 10According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments. 12Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof. 13Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following. 14For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

This Psalm brings peace to my heart. God is known in Mount Zion’s palaces as a refuge, and He will be our guide, even unto death.

A lot of times, when we are in a hurry, it is easy to skim over a post, and for some reason, especially a Bible verse, but I challenge you to slow down and meditate on this one.

When men marvel and are troubled and run away, and fear takes hold of them, and pain, like the birthing of a child, we can have peace in the LORD. We can think on His lovingkindness.

Oh God, you are my God, and I will ever praise you…

O God
You are my God
And I will ever praise You
Oh God
You are my God
And I will ever praise You
I will seek You in the morning
I will learn to walk in Your ways
And step by step You’ll lead me
And I will follow You all of my days

“Oh, LORD, thank you for your mercy. Forgive me of my pride LORD, and help me to truly live in all things as though I know you and your refuge and your peace. When things are said or done, may I not rise up in my own strength or fears, but may I sit quietly, in you and learn from you and follow your guided path. May I follow and allow you to lead in all things. May I truly keep it in my heart that you are my God for ever and ever and follow you, even unto death.”

It is a hard thing to praise our God in our human state. Sometimes it takes all we can muster to remember to praise the Lord. How sad that is for us, when God clearly knows us and remembers us. There have only been a few times in my life where I felt like my guts had been ripped out and my life would never be the same. I am thankful that God kept me in a place that I may have questioned others, but not Him. Not His omnipotence.

Life can be frightening sometimes. I know when Caleb was so sick a few months ago, and now, with LucyLillie being so restless, it is hard to face things that may happen that would rip my heart out. I can beg God in my spirit to please heal them and take care of it. And I know that God understands. He understands when I don’t. He understands my questions and my fears, my heartaches and disappointments. Jesus, Himself, knows these human feelings personally.

We can trust Our God. We can believe in Him and walk blindly sometimes, because He is the Beginning and the End. He is and was and will be. He knows, even before we do. We might question things we don’t understand, but we can trust Him and His Word, despite those questions.

Psalm 22

1My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

2O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

3But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

4Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

5They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

6But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

7All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

8He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

9But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.

10I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.

11Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

12Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

13They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

14I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

15My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

16For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

17I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

18They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

19But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

20Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

23Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

24For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

25My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

26The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

27All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

28For the kingdom is the LORD’s: and he is the governor among the nations.

29All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
